Take part in a Collective Meditation this Sunday, September 20th, 10am-10:10am MST. Take ten minutes wherever you are to practice during this time.
Meditating together at the same time brings about the energy of many loving and caring individuals who want to create more love and peace in the world. Be a part of this with us!
Practice the steps below a few times prior to the collective meditation to prepare (if you choose) and join us collectively wherever you are this Sunday for a good dose of peace for yourself and the world!!
Meditation Practice for Being In Peace - Preparation for the Collective Meditation Sunday, September 20th, 10am-10:10am MST
1) First, relax and allow yourself to rest. Let go of any tension or resistance. Ground into relaxation.
2) Choose an object of focus for a time. This can be something you choose within yourself (your breath or the sensations of specific areas of your body) or outside of yourself (cars driving by, dogs barking, a fan, birds chirping). Use this object as a means to focus, slow down your thoughts and relax. Simply compassionately bring yourself back to this object when your thoughts start to stray (you may need to remind yourself many times).
3) Allow yourself to be wherever you are - even if your thoughts are busy and distracting.
4) Continue to breathe and practice for 5 minutes and notice how you are able to slow your thoughts down with this practice (even just a small amount). Let go of any notion you have about what you are supposed to be feeling and just allow yourself to feel.
5) Observe your body and the calm it is feeling being at peace in the midst of whatever is happening in your life at this time.
6) Allow yourself to open your eyes to the world still feeling peaceful and calm. Bring that feeling into your day and into the world. Try to conjure this feeling of peace as you move throughout your day.
Enjoy!
